Locke

 Locke's key points:

1) Labor is property.

2) Property is created when labor removes something from its natural state.

3) Man has a right of property (not the property of another).

4) Men come together and form government for the purpose of protecting property rights (and property rights are the basis of all rights therefore the purpose of government is to protect rights).

5) When government fails in its purpose, man can either abolish or alter government and either replace it or remake it to perform its original purpose which is to protect rights.
